Terms of Use

Three things worth knowing up front: BatchName is beta software and may have defects; we are not affiliated with any cloud drive provider; and the outcome of a batch rename is yours to confirm — read the preview before you run it.
Acceptance
By downloading, installing or using BatchName (“the product”) you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not install or use it.
The product is developed and provided by 5KM Tech, LLC.
About the beta
The product is currently distributed through Apple TestFlight as beta software. That means:
- It may contain defects, be unstable, or have incomplete features
- Features may change or be removed without prior notice
- Each beta build expires after 90 days, after which a newer build must be installed
- The beta programme may end at any time
Do not make your first attempt on data you cannot afford to get wrong. Try a small batch first, confirm the result matches your expectation, and only then work at scale.
Relationship with cloud drive providers
The product has no affiliation, partnership, sponsorship or endorsement relationship with Quark, Alibaba Cloud Drive, Baidu Netdisk, Xunlei, 115, UC, 123 Pan, China Mobile Cloud, Tianyi Cloud, or any other provider. All trademarks belong to their respective owners and are referenced only to describe compatibility.
The product is a helper tool running inside your own browser: it operates the account you are already signed in to, with the same effect as renaming each file by hand on the web page. Your relationship with each cloud drive remains governed by your agreement with that provider.
It is your responsibility to ensure that using the product does not breach the terms of service of the drive you use. If a provider prohibits automated operation, do not use the product on that platform.
Your responsibilities
- Check the preview before running. The product shows the complete old name → new name mapping before any rename, and blocks foreseeable conflicts. You are the one who clicks Rename, and the outcome is yours to confirm.
- Only use it on files you are entitled to modify. Do not use it to alter content you have no right to.
- Comply with applicable law. The product must not be used for any unlawful purpose.
- Keep your own backups. Undo covers only the most recent batch and is not a substitute for a backup.
Prohibited conduct
You may not:
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the product
- Remove or alter any copyright, trademark or proprietary notice in the product
- Resell, rent, sublicense or otherwise distribute the product
- Use the product to mount automated attacks, scraping, or abuse against any service
Intellectual property
The product and all of its content (including interface design, icons and copy) are the intellectual property of 5KM Tech, LLC and are protected by copyright and related laws. These terms grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the product; they transfer no ownership.
Parts of the product are built on the open-source project cloud-drive-renamer (MIT licence), and it uses open-source components including Lit, Vite and Lucide. Attributions are listed on the About screen in the app.
Disclaimer
The product is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
We do not warrant that:
- The product will be uninterrupted or entirely free of errors
- Compatibility with each cloud drive will be maintained — those platforms may change at any time and temporarily break functionality
- Every rename operation will succeed
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, 5KM Tech, LLC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages arising from the use of, or inability to use, the product — including data loss, incorrect filenames, business interruption, or lost profits.
As the product is provided free of charge, our aggregate liability is in all cases limited to zero.
Fees
The product is free during the beta. Pricing for a future general release may differ, and any change will be announced in advance.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time and will revise the date at the top of this page. Material changes will be announced in the app or on this website. Continued use after a change constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
Termination
You may terminate this agreement at any time by uninstalling the product. If you breach these terms, we may terminate your licence without prior notice.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which 5KM Tech, LLC is registered. Any dispute arising from these terms should first be addressed through good-faith negotiation.
